SWAT: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will inaugurate a 110-bed kidney hospital named after him on Friday.
His spokesperson said that the Nawaz Sharif Kidney Hospital has been established by the Punjab Hospital Trust. The total cost of the hospital has been put at Rs 800 million and it is created under the supervision of Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Ishaq Dar.
The kidney hospital is equipped with 14 dialysis machines in addition to 110 beds. Additional facilities will also be provided, including pathology, blood bank, C.T. scan and X-ray. He said that it is the first of its kind hospital in the province. The prime minister will also address a public gathering at the inauguration ceremony which will take place at the Grassy Ground, Saidu Sharif.
PM has toured various cities of the country in the past few weeks and has inaugurated many new development projects as well, including the Pak-China fiber optic project in Gilgit. All this has taken place amidst tensed environment in the center after Panama Papers leaks and the opposition leader Imran Khan’s demands for the resignation of the prime minister.
