ISLAMABAD: A police official named Dilpazeer was handed a life sentence and fined Rs 100, 000 for raping his daughter by a sessions court on Thursday.
The 19-years-old daughter of Dilpazeer said that he first raped her in 2011, when she was a minor, and continued to rape her for the next four years. She said that she told her mother and her uncle, Dilpazeer’s younger brother, “but nobody believed me,” she said. As a last resort, the girl approached the court and filed a case against her father.
The girl’s lawyer, Amir Nadeem Tabish, submitted video evidence against the official in the court. Dilpazeer was sentenced to life in prison with a fine. If the fine is not paid, Dilpazeer will spend an additional six months in jail.
