ISLAMABAD – Minister for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday held a meeting with US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale and discussed bilateral relations, ongoing cooperation and recent strategic dialogue.
They also exchanged views on regional situation and the ongoing cooperation on counter-terrorism. The ambassador appreciated efforts of Pakistan to take forward the ongoing reconciliation process in Afghanistan and promote regional peace.
The minister expressed satisfaction at the mutual efforts to promote cooperation between the two countries. He remarked that the recent strategic dialogue would prove to be an important milestone in furthering comprehensive collaboration in diverse fields.
The minister said that Pakistan was desirous of peace in the region and would continue to play its role and make efforts to keep peace. Hale assured that the US would continue helping Pakistan in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
